Once we receive authorization from you, we will arrange to come template. After templating, we’ll begin the process of fabricating your custom design at our plant in Viroqua, Wisconsin. We employ only the best craftsmen and women to make sure your counters are “tops”!
At Elegant Stone Products, safety is a priority. We use material handling equipment to minimize heavy lifting in the plant. On average, the materials we work with are about 17lbs per square foot. A typical island could weigh nearly 400lbs!
After cutting the basic shapes for your project, we send them to our automated machinery for edging and to have any holes or shapes cut into the material. The work that these machines do can also be done by hand but the difference is in precision. An edge that has been cut by hand will appear wavy. Our edges are true and straight. The hand work we do puts the finishing touches on a perfect edge.
The latest addition to our fleet of Park Industries machines in the FastBack. It's purpose in life is simple but it will allow us to process backsplash at a rate of 3:1 compared to the way we used to do it.
Once the shapes for your counters are cut and edged, we do a “dry run” of your project by laying out, leveling and fitting all components. We also raise the sink (undermount) to its correct position to ensure proper sink cut out.
 At this point, two steps remain: Finger-edge* and sealing. Our signature touch is our standard finger-edge finish on the underside of your counters. By creating a smooth finish under the overhang, we give you a counter that will feel similar from top to bottom. Finally, after all is fabricated, we apply SCI sealer to your counters to protect your investment.

 For an added touch, we can laser etch virtually any design into your backsplash. You can provide the design or choose from our files. Laser etching adds a unique and personal touch to any kitchen design.
